Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service is excited to announce their merger with Riley Funeral Home of Chatfield and Johnson - Riley Funeral Home of Lanesboro. The Riley family has served their communities since 1972 through the care of Jim and Deanna Riley and their son, Rue Riley.
On May 15, 2024, they will officially become a part of Hoff Funeral Homes, which has been serving families in Southeast Minnesota since 1969, when Lowell Hoff moved to St. Charles to purchase Sellner Funeral Home. Lowell’s sons, Tim and Gary Hoff joined the family business as they continued to grow. Tim, his wife Jenny and their daughter, Ashley Czaplewski are now partners in the family business. Hoff currently has locations in Rushford, St. Charles, Lewiston, Houston, Winona and La Crosse.
Tim and Jenny’s son, Tyler branched out to the communities of Austin and Blooming Prairie with his purchase of Worlein Funeral Home which is now Worlein-Hoff Funeral Home. Gary Hoff retired in 2023.
Tim, Jenny, Ashley and the rest of the Hoff Staff are excited to be able to serve the Chatfield, Lanesboro and surrounding communities with the same compassion and service offerings as their other locations. They are looking forward to updating the spaces to be able to better meet the changing needs of the families they serve, including creating a space to be able to have funeral lunches on site.
Through this merger, Hoff was able to bring Kristi Meyer on board as a licensed funeral director. Kristi is a familiar face in the Chatfield and Lanesboro communities as she provided coverage to the Riley family for the last few years. She will make her home in Chatfield. “The blending of these two established and respected names represents a new era of funeral services for the Lanesboro and Chatfield areas,” Tim Hoff stated.
